Just an update

Hey everyone!

So sorry I haven't posted recently. :(
Not that it's an excuse, but our good camera has not been working lately. I swear! Pictures will come soon, I promise.
As for our Lily, she's growing like a weed. She looks way older than 21 months! She's going to be a tall girl. She's wearing size 2 clothes already. It's hard to keep up with her wardrobe! I'm keeping my eye out for cute summer dresses and flip flops for her already!
She's talking (or trying to) so much! You can see her struggle when she can't find the right word. Her newest phrase is, "Bless you!", whenever she hears someone sneeze (even the cats!). She also likes hiding her face and peeking at you while saying, "I see you!".
We've slowly been starting to potty train her. She showed interest months ago, but we have been unable to find time to consistently help her. So, we'll hopefully start "for real" soon. Right now, she enjoys sitting on the potty and reading. It's a good start. :)
She's been spending at least 2 days a week at a babysitter's house (either grandparents' or Vanessa's). We feel very blessed to have this help. And we know she loves the attention and opportunities to bond with her family and friends.
Kevin's work has not been affected by the 'recession' so far. He's had mostly good days at work. He's doing an amazing job getting Lily ready early in the morning and taking her to the babysitters and picking her up after work. It's an important job that I hope he knows I appreciate. :)
I'm working 2 shifts a week at ARHCC. The nursing shortage has never been more critical. The working conditions are awful but we all know we are doing the best we can for our patients. I'm scheduled for more surgery on my sinuses on March 13th. It's only a day surgery but I can not go to work for atleast a week after. I'm very nervous about it, but I've been assured that it will go smoothly. Fingers crossed!
We've had a busy beginning to our year. A lot of family events and celebrations. We are looking forward to the summer, for sure. We are sad we are unable to make it to Alabama in April. Nothing really planned for summer yet, but I'm sure it will be packed with fun things (and good weather!!).
Hope all of you are well. Take care of each other.
xoxo
