Lily's first camping trip (June 22-25)

We took Lily on her first camping trip to Haynes Point, Osoyoos. The car ride there she slept the whole way!! It was great. We didn't have to make 1 stop!
We arrived at the campsite around 10pm. Mom and Dad Mitchler were waiting for us in their trailor. We spent the night in the trailor as it was too windy to set up our tent. Lily slept in her travel crib and had a pretty good night.
During the day, we spent time outside, enjoying the sunshine and each other. We spent one night in our tent but the next day it rained pretty hard so we slept in the trailor again. Lily really enjoyed the fresh air and her grandparents' attention! Can't wait to go back! :)

We took Lily to the spot where Kevin proposed. What a sweet new memory.

Father's Day- June 17th, 2007

Father's Day- June 17th

We woke up in the morning and had a good snuggle with Lily in our bed until we were awake enough to get ready to go to Nana and Grandpa Lengle's for a Father's Day lunch.

Kevin opened some presents from Lily that Mom helped pick out. :) Dad got a BBQ tool set, the new season of Seinfeld, a cute ornament that Dad wanted and a 8x12 framed picture of Dad and Lily, taken by Rima that says "The moment you were born, I stopped being my father's child and became my child's father. I began a new life..." (it's the sweetest picture ever! Thanks Rima)

When we got to Nana and Grandpa's, Uncle Bryan and Auntie Megan were very attentive to Lily, but Auntie Karen was the one who cleaned up the poops! LOL! Lily had lots of smiles for everyone! :)

Lunch was a BBQ, with great burgers, hotdogs, potato salad, greek salad and more. So good! For dessert, we had Dad's favourite, lemon pie (even though Mom was having trouble-long story!)

Us kids got Dad some gifts, like a digital picture frame, but we really wanted to do something special as a family so we've arranged for a family dinner out and movie for next week. :) We had a great time after lunch watching old VHS tapes of us when we were very little. So funny to see what we used to act like.

The Dad's- Kevin and Gary

When Lily started getting tired, we made our way home. Father's Day was a lot of fun. :)

Lily at 3 weeks old

Hi everyone!

Lily is changing every day! We wish she could stay small forever! But we are enjoying that she is more alert now and even flashes a smile every once in a while. :)

We've stayed busy by visiting friends and family, having people over, going to the mall, going for walks and attending special events like, the May Day parade in Fort Langley, Grandpa Mitchler's 60th birthday party and a surprise baby shower given by my nursing pals!

Kevin's back at work now. He's sleeping better, don't worry. It helps that Lily is almost sleeping through the night, from about 1am-6am! :) We are looking forward to summer. We can't wait to take her camping and we're hoping to take a road trip out to Edmonton to see the Lengle side of the family in September. (and I'm hoping to convince Kevin to let us spend a weekend in Osoyoos with Grandpa and Grandma Mitchler at the end of June!! Wish me luck!)

I'm so excited to put Lily in all these cute summer outfits! Thank you to everyone for all the cards and gifts for Lily and Kevin and I. Thank you for spending time with us,and cuddling with her! (and for doing our laundry and dishes and for fixing things around the house, Grandpa, Nana and kids! Thank you!!!)

The cats are doing well. They are getting more bold, as I have found Moxie snuggling in Lily's bassinet! (they're not allowed in there) Bert is more independent but Moxie is still trying to be Daddy's little girl! LOL

Hope you are all well! Take care!

xoxo
